In-Land Transport - Japan

When bidding on vehicles outside of Kansai, there are variables that may increase the cost of in-land transport.

Vehicles which are being shipped by ro/ro, will be transported directly to the nearest port for shipping. Providing the vehicle is drivable, less than 18 cubic meters in size, is not severely lowered or a severely accident damaged, there will be no additional transport costs.

Any cars which are being bought for parts, must be transported to our Kyoto factory for dismantling, providing the vehicle is drivable, within 18m3 in size, is not lowered nor in crashed accident condition and within the Kansai Region there will be no extra costs.

*KANSAI REGION = Nagoya, Gifu, Mie, Shiga, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Hyogo, Kobe, Wakayama etc, or in simple terms, all cities within 200km or 2 hours radius of Kyoto. (see attached map)

Other factors which may attract add costs;

NON-DRIVABLE Vehicles which do not drive on their own accord, cannot be transported by standard carriers. Our drivers will do their best to start the vehicle, but if not,  then it must be transported by a single winched car-carrier which extra transport fees may apply*

DAMAGED FROM TOHOKU & KYUSHU REGION

Vehicles being sourced from the Kanto & Kyushu Region which are being shipped by container, must be delivered to our Kyoto factory for loading. Vehicles from these areas are first brought to Osaka by ship and then delivered to us by road transporter.

Shipping lines do not permit damaged vehicles' on-board, as such vehicles are known to leak oil, fuel, fluids and other contaminates. For this reason, the vehicle  must be transported by a single car carrier which extra transport fees may apply*

OVER-SIZED Vehicles which exceed 18m3 (larger trucks, campers, hi-roof Hiace’s etc) cannot be transported by standard multi car carrier. This means the vehicle must be manually driven from auction to port for shipping.  If the vehicle is a truck, a H/T licenced driver is sent to the auction to physically drive the vehicle to yard or port for shipping,  – Extra transport fees may apply*

LOWERED Vehicles which are lowered cannot be carried by standard car carriers due to the angle pitch of the truck loading ramps. For this reason, the vehicle  must be transported by a single winched car-carrier which extra transport fees may apply*
